April 26th poems

Today’s prompt is to write a poem with the title of “I’m so over (_____).” You get to choose what you’re “so over” with, and write a poem about it. I’ll be looking forward to reading these.

Rant

I’m so over
this compulsive need
to make everyone happy.

Sorry, not my job.

Your pursuit of
your own happiness
lies entirely with you.

Don’t pass the blame.

I’m just a fellow
traveler in this world
who would greatly
appreciate if you found
someone else to take
along on your guilt trip.

    Jerry Says:

    I’m so over “so over.”
    I’m so over
    Adolescence,
    Inarticulate expression,
    “I’m so. . .”
    Celebrate vacuity.
Give credence to the rolled eyes,
    The blank stare of immaturity.
    “I’m so . . .”
Hey! Find another way to say
    So over. . . ?
    So over. . . ?
    So over. . .?

    So what?
